Post Burn Contracture

Postburn contracture (PBC) is one of the most prevalent burn sequelae in general surgical practise. Such deformities are treated surgically by relieving the contracture and then covering it with a skin graft or skin flap. Optimal control of PBCs has long been a challenge for surgeons due to the scarcity of good skin in the affected areas. There are many different operational techniques to choose from, and the surgeon must decide which is ideal for each patient.
